Nicholas Hadjisavvas

Hello, my name is Nicholas and I'm a Research/ML engineer and software developer. My work mainly focuses on applying AI/ML solutions for research projects across a variety of domains, as well as designing and developing the software infrastructure to support the application of such solutions.

I have studied Computer Science at the University of Sheffield and Machine Learning/Data Science at UCL. During this time, I've become interested in a broad set of AI subdomains such as classical machine learning algorithms, Deep learning for supervised, unsupervised and reinforcement learning (specifically computer vision for object detection and classification) as well as the statistical foundations which the mentioned technologies have been built on.

Recently, I have embarked on a journey for trying to understand and critically challenging the current state of AI development and its ecosystem. As a person who aims to actively contribute to this ecosystem, I have realised the need to understand the risks and considerations the rest of the world are worried about regarding AI development and adoption into our everyday lives. I decided to partially share this journey as it's happening, through a blogpost where I might share some thoughts or essays.

Find the blog here.

Some of the projects I've worked on are listed in projects alongside some accompanying links. In the projects page you can also find a list of my peer-reviewed papers up to now. Some of them are linked to their conference listing webpages, even though download might be gated behind a paywall.
